Hunnivirus is a picornavirus genus containing a single species Hunnivirus A. The name was changed in July 2013 from "hungarovirus" at the request of the ICTV Executive Committee. The name, Hunnivirus, is derived from Hungary and Northern Ireland where the first three hunniviruses were found.

A second candidate second species ('Hunnivirus B') has been identified.
