  Bluegill virus (BGV) is a picorna-like virus isolated from the bluegill fish (Lepomis macrochirus). The bluegill is also known as bream, blue bream, sun perch, blue sunfish, copperhead, copperbelly or roach and lives in streams, rivers and lakes throughout North America.
