The species Cardiovirus ranori
(formerly
Cardiovirus C)
contains two types of novel cardiovirus, named Boone
cardiovirus. It was discovered in laboratory brown rats (Rattus
norvegicus) at the University of Missouri (Gohndrone and Riley,
unpublished). Interestingly, its 2A/2B junction lacks an NPG↓P
motif.
