||The species Cardiovirus A
(formerly named Encephalomyocarditis virus) consists of a
serotypes named encephalomyocarditis virus 1 (EMCV-1) and EMCV-2. The second
serotype was recently discovered in a wood mouse (Apodemus
sylvaticus) in Germany (Philipps et al., 2012).
